Beatrice to Host Small Scale Energy Conference

Anyone interested in small-scale renewable energy projects is invited to attend a one-day small scale energy conference on Tuesday, April 26 from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm in Beatrice at the Holiday Inn Express. Technologies to be covered are wind, solar, methane, geothermal, bio-energy and flex-fuel infrastructure. Speakers will explain the steps necessary to turn ideas into projects, including resource assessment, permitting and certification, and financing. Co-sponsors are the USDA Rural Development and University of Nebraska Lincoln Extension. Call the Gage County Extension office at 223-1384 for more information and to pre-register by April 20th. A $20 registration fee covers meeting cost, materials and lunch.
