Beatrice Man Injured in Vehicle Rollover

LOCATION: ½ mile north of Elm Rd on S 5th Dr.

TIME: 0233 Hours

OFFENSE: Single vehicle injury accident

CASE: 2011-1549

On Sunday March 27th at 0233 hours, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an injured male being transported to the Beatrice Community Hospital by a private vehicle. The injured person, later identified as 25 year old Jeremy Roschewski of Beatrice, was found walking westbound on Elm Road between S 5th Drive and Highway 77 and was believed to have been involved in a vehicle accident.

At 0243 hours, deputies located a 2002 Pontiac Grand Prix in a field ½ mile north of Elm Road on S 5th Drive. The vehicle was traveling north on S 5th Drive when it drove off the west side of the roadway, impacted the ditch and rolled several times, coming to rest on its top.

Mr. Roschewski was later transported by air ambulance from Beatrice Community Hospital to Bryan LGH West for injuries sustained in the accident

It has not yet been determined if seatbelts were in use. Alcohol is believed to have been a factor.

The accident is still under investigation.
