The Kansas Department of Labor reported Kansas Government agencies employed 16-thousand more people in February 2011 than in February 2010. The revelation was made in February’s Unemployment report.
Nemaha County had the lowest unemployment rate in the state of Kansas at 4.3 percent during the month of February.
Marshall County’s unemployment rate remained 5.5 percent. Washington County was 5.2 percent up from 5 percent in January. Gage County in Nebraska remained steady at 5.7 percent.
Kansas unemployment rate remained at 6.8 percent in February. Nebraska unemployment rate for February was 4.3 percent. Nationally the unemployment rate was 8.9 percent
