Marysville Man Injured in Police Chase

A Marysville Man was injured in a police chase on Saturday evening. According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Riley County Police were chasing a pickup driven by 31-year-old Jason Fisher of Marysville in the 1300 Block of Walnut Creek Road, 1.7 miles from K-77. Fisher lost control of the pickup and the pickup went into the south ditch where it hit a concrete culvers. The pickup then travelled back across the road and entered the north ditch where it rolled several times and came to rest on its wheels.

Fisher and a passenger, 32-year-old Misty Mayer of Topeka, were both taken to Mercy Regional Health Center. Fisher was treated and released. Mayer was admitted but has since been released. Neither Riley County Police nor the Kansas Highway Patrol have released the reason for the pursuit or what, if any charges will be filed.
