Diller Teen Injured in Accident

LOCATION: Perry and May Street, Odell, Nebraska

OFFENSE: Two Vehicle Injury Accident

CASE: 2011-0710

On Saturday, February 12, 2011, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office, Odell Fire and Rescue, and Beatrice Rescue responded to a two vehicle injury accident which occurred at the intersection of Perry and May Streets in Odell.

A 2005 GMC Sierra pickup driven by 25 year old Anthony R. Penner of Odell was driving northbound on Perry Street. A 2005 Dodge Stratus driven by 14 year old Taylor L. Landenberger of rural Diller, Nebraska was traveling westbound on May Street in Odell. Ms. Landenberger attempted to cross the intersection of Perry and May Streets and failed to yield to Mr. Penner. Mr. Penner was unable to stop his vehicle and collided with the Dodge Stratus in the intersection.

Ms. Landenberger sustained minor injuries from the accident and was transported to Beatrice Community Hospital by Beatrice Rescue for her injuries. The driver of the Dodge Stratus, Taylor L. Landenberger, was cited at the hospital for failure to yield the right away and released.
