Changes in State Fire Code

The Kansas Fire Marshall’s Office announced this week revisions that have been made to the Kansas Fire Prevention Code.

Kansas Fire Marshall Doug Jorgensen said the revisions outline various building and fire code requirements for new and existing facilities in the State of Kansas. Jorgensen is suggesting all Kansas industries review the revised regulations to ensure compliance with current Kansas law.

The amended regulations were published in the Kansas Registrar February 4th and can be viewed at www.ksfm.ks.gov/codes-rules-laws.
