Local Groups Gathering Items for Hospitalized Veterans

Veterans seeking treatment at the two Kansas Veterans’ Administration Hospitals often arrive without items they later find essential.  The cost of these items are not covered by the VA.

Items being collected include:

Men’s blue jeans

Men’s tennis shoes

Small luggage, totes and duffle bags

envelopes

postage stamps

To donate any of these items you may drop them off in Frankfort at:  City Hall, First National Bank, Mane Street Salon, or Mike Simmons’ home at 610 Chesnut.  In Marysville, items may be left at Jeff Ottens home at 603 North 20th Street.
