Pawnee Mental Health Services is offering a new DUI/DWI Treatment Program for individuals whose use of alcohol or other drugs has put themselves and others at risk. The treatment program is designed to promote public safety by reducing the number of injuries and fatalities due to driving under the influence of alcohol or other drugs.
The treatment program uses The Change Companies’ DUI/DWI Flex Module Series and follows the basic premise that participants are responsible for the choices they make, that they can change their behavior if they have the motivation and tools to do so, and that a brief intervention can be an effective catalyst for life change.
“We are pleased to be able to provide this valuable treatment program ,” says Executive Director Robbin Cole,” and believe it can have a sustained, positive impact on the community.”
The DUI/DWI Treatment Program is a 12-week closed treatment group facilitated by Bob Wisdom, LMLP, AAPS. The program is only offered in Pawnee’s Manhattan office at this time. Pawnee Mental Health Services is a licensed community mental health center and licensed substance abuse treatment center serving more than 7,500 people annually.
