MARYSVILLE USD #364 Regular Board Meeting Highlights January 12, 2011

• Accepted the following donations: o Received $351.04 from Tom Knott for paint for the “M” on the football field. o Received $6,000 from Guise-Weber Foundation, Inc. and $2,000 from R.L. or Elsa Helvering Trust for the WIA program. o Received $500 from the Winifred Johnson Charitable Trust for the WIA program. o Received $125 from John McNish (Bolton & McNish, LLC) for Camp Invention. o Received $590 from the Class of 1960 for Millie Laughlin’s class (Lab Quest Mini Interface, Photogate Sensors, Low g Accelerometers, and Picket Fences).

• Mr. Thexton gave a report on the possibility of losing stimulus and federal special education funds, and the Governor’s State of the State Address scheduled at 6:30 p.m. He also gave a report on the automated call system problems, Trane Energy Upgrades, and school board filings. Mr. Thexton thanked the custodians for their good job of snow removal, Ron Kjellberg for checking roads, and the bus drivers for their good job during this inclement weather.

• Reviewed a budget report showing the current budget spent compared to budget spent for the last two years.

• Declared old cell phones as surplus.

• Approved the 2010-2011 Negotiated Agreement between USD #364 and MEA (Marysville Education Association) as submitted for ratification.

• Approved a check in the amount of $50 to be paid to all administrators and classified employees who were employed during the 2009-10 school year and currently employed.

• Adopted the 2011-12 calendar. (Classes will begin on August 18, 2011 and end May 25, 2012.)

• Accepted the resignation of Sara Brummett as food service worker.
