According to Deputies Poley was driving a car eastbound on Highway 8 when he struck a snow packed area on the highway and lost control of the vehicle, causing it to go into the south ditch and roll over one time.

All occupants were transported to the Beatrice Community Hospital where they were treated for their injuries.

Poley and Hudlin were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the accident but the child was restrained in a child restraint seat.
