Second Waterville Home Destroyed by Fire

A rural Waterville Home was destroyed by Fire on Sunday.  According to Waterville Fire Chief Dane Parker the home located at 1842 Second Road was completely destroyed.  The home belonged to Jeremy Milner.  A passerby noticed the fire at approximately 3:30 p.m. and called the fire department.  According to Parker, the home had already started to collapse when the firefighters arrived on the scene.
The fire appears to have started in the garage and then spread to the house destroying both buildings.  Parker said its cause could not be determined.
A trailer will be parked at the Corner Store in Waterville from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and people can drop off home goods or other items as donations to help the Milners.  Milner has a 2year old daughter. According to Chief Parker, Milner does have insurance.

Gayle,  Karen Peterson and Glen Peterson’s home was destroyed by fire on December 9th.  The home is about four miles north of Waterville. It also was destroyed, but no one was hurt.  An account at Citizens State Bank in Waterville has been set up to collect donations for the Petersons.
