A six-vehicle crash Thursday afternoon near the intersection of 21st and Court Streets in Beatrice sent two people to the hospital. According to Beatrice Police Officer Rob Mierau the vehicles were sitting at the stoplight at 19th and Court. A car driven by a female juvenile ran into the vehicle in front of her, causing a chain reaction. The female driver and her backseat passenger were transported to Beatrice Community Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Eight other people involved with the crash suffered minor bumps and bruises, but none asked for medical transport. Mierau said the driver of the Pontiac wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, the investigation of the accident is still ongoing.
