Fire damages house in Marysville

The Marshall County Fire Department responded to a house fire in Northeast Marysville on Tuesday evening.  According to Fire Chief Richardson three trucks and 28 firefighters responded to 611 North 18th for a report of heavy smoke in the house.  Richardson said when firefighters arrived they found dense smoke on the main floor and flames in the basement.  The cause of the fire was determined to be electrical.  Fire damaged 2 main floor joyces and left a two foot by two foot hole in the main floor.  The home is owned by Denise Johnson.
