The annual Odell Community Days are scheduled for this weekend. The festival’s theme is, “Helping Hands” and will serve as a fundraiser to a renovation of the Rice Hospital building north of its downtown. Stories about Dr. Rice will be told and a commemorative name tage will be given to anybody delivered in the hospital building.
Odell Community Days kicks off Saturday evening with a street dance at the Corner Bar. On Sunday, Van’s BBQ will serve lunch from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The festival continues with a parade down Main Street at 1:30 p.m. There will also be inflateables, a carousel, and a 3:30 p.m. magic show in the city park all free of charge.
