Explosion and Fire Destroy Garage

An explosion was heard in central Marysville at approximately 7 p.m. on Wednesday.  According to Emergency Management Director Bill Schwindamann a garage at 1002 Calhoun was a total loss after an explosion and fire swept through the structure.  The garage was owned by Chuck Wells.  A vehicle in the garage was also a total loss.  Three fire trucks and 25 firefighters responded to the fire.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation and no injuries could be confirmed.
