6 arrested in Beatrice Meth Lab case

A sixth arrest has been made related to the discovery of a working meth lab found in Beatrice.  Daniel Lee Hile Jr., 40, was arrested Saturday for manufacturing a controlled substance.  Police discovered that Hile possibly left the home at 904 N. Fifth St., before police arrived.  James Oldfield, the renter on the lease, called Beatrice Police to be present while he asked Carlson to leave the premises.  In the presence of police Oldfield lifted the overhead garage door. Officers reported that a large amount of smoke was released. Police also found was a white plastic jug with a rubber hose connected to it.  Andrea J. Carlson, 41; Ashley M. Conolly, 19; Chelsey J. Retchless, 18; Zach A. Lyons, 18 and an unidentified juvenile were arrested after going through a decontamination process at Beatrice Community Hospital.  Four law enforcement officers were also exposed to hazardous chemicals at the home and were also decontaminated at the hospital.  Police Capt. Gerald Lamkin said that the lab was larger than most of the labs found.
