KLA Endorses Moran

As the August primary approaches, Jerry Moran’s U.S. Senate campaign continues to pick up steam garnering more and more important endorsements. The latest comes from the Kansas Livestock Association.

The trade organization, which represents about 55-hundred members involved in beef and dairy businesses, says their endorsement is based on Moran’s long history of advocating policies and programs that support Kansas ranchers, feeders and dairymen.

KLA President Mark Smith said, “Jerry understands the importance of the livestock business to Kansas and has led the charge to defend our industry.”

For his part, Congressman Moran said, “The Kansas beef industry plays a critical role in creating jobs and helping the Kansas economy. I’m proud to have KLA’s support.”

About Mike Schrant

Mike is one of those guys who has spent nearly a lifetime trying to figure out what he wants to do when he grows up. He has split time as a broadcaster and educator having first worked in radio in the early 1970’s while attending junior college. The two careers are directly connected because many of the 25 years as an educator were spent teaching broadcast journalism at the high school and college levels. Mike is married and has three adult children (no grandchildren yet) and enjoys sports, debating politics, gardening, landscaping-hauling rocks, and swapping stories with the "good old boys".
