Kansas woman cited in injury accident

On Tuesday, June 22, 2010, the Gage County Sheriff’s Office and Wymore Fire and Rescue responded to a two vehicle injury accident which occurred at the intersection of Highway 77 and Highway 8.
A 1998 Plymouth Voyager driven by 46 year old Richard Miccicke of Wymore was driving southbound on Highway 77 when he met a 1997 Ford Club Wagon traveling north on Highway 77 driven by 47 year old Michelle Hauck of Manhattan Kansas. Mrs. Hauck attempted to turn westbound onto Highway 8 from Highway 77 and failed to yield to Mr. Miccicke. Mr. Miccicke was unable to stop his vehicle and collided with the Club Wagon.
The passenger in the Voyager, 20 year old Jessica R. Miccicke sustained minor injuries from the accident and was treated at the scene by Wymore Rescue personnel. She was not transported to any medical facility and was released at the scene.

The driver of the Club Wagon, Michelle Hauck, was cited at the scene for failure to yield the right away and released.
Air bags were not deployed in either vehicle and seatbelts were being utilized during the accident.  Alcohol was not a factor in the accident.
