Washington County Weekly Sheriffs Report

On June 15th on 25th Road ¼ mile west of Rainbow Road, Nicholas Garber, Hanover driving a 2008 Chevrolet struck deer. Damage estimated at more than $1,000.00, no injuries were reported.

On June 19th on Quivira Road ¼ mile north of Quail Avenue, Emily Schreiber, St. John, KS driving a 2001 Pontiac struck deer. Damage estimated at more than $1,000.00, no injuries were reported.

On June 21st on K 15 at MM 203 Phyllis Kriesel, Columbus Nebraska driving a 2001 Chevrolet struck deer. Damage estimated at more than $1,000.00, no injuries were reported.

On June 21st an officer was dispatched to 510 B Street Washington for what was determined a civil matter.

On June 21st an officer was dispatched to the intersection of K 148 and Jade Road for the report of property damage. Investigation is pending.

On June 21st in Clifton at the intersection of Clifton & Parallel Streets, Lyle Lange, Clifton driving a 2004 Ford was backing from parking stall when he struck a 2007 Buick driven by Lindsey Jackson, Clifton. Damage estimated at more than $1,000.00, no injuries were reported.

On June 21st on K 9 just east of Gypsum Road, Bonnie Olson, Clifton driving a 1985 Plymouth, struck deer. Damage estimated at more than $1,000.00, no injuries were reported.

On June 21st on K 148 just north of 20th Road Dalton Palmer, Delphos, driving a 2002 Ford lost control on roadway and overturned vehicle. Damage estimated at more than $1,000.00, no injuries were reported.

On June 22nd on King road ½ mile south of 148 Mark Meenen, Clay Center driving a 2001 Chevrolet struck deer. Damage estimated at more than $1,000.00, no injuries were reported.

On June 22nd on National Road ½ mile north of 28th Road Tyler Rose, Mahaska driving a 2007 GMC struck deer. Damage estimated at more than $1,000.00, no injuries were reported.

On June 24th at 200 East 7th Street Washington, the Short Stop Parking Lot, Dannon Busby, Washington driving a 2001 Dodge was backing from parking stall and struck a 2000 Chevrolet driven by Ryan Hynek, Morrowville. Damage estimated at more than $1,000.00, no injuries were reported. As a result of this accident, Dannon Busby, Washington was arrested on pending charges of Driving while suspended. Busby was held at the Washington County Jail until his release on bond. A report will be forwarded to the county attorney.

On June 25th at 101 5th Street, Linn Minor in Possession/Minor In Consumption citations were issued to 6 juveniles & Denton Dittmer, Linn. A report will be forwarded to the county attorney.

On June 26th an officer was dispatched to the Swimming Pool in Greenleaf for the report of Criminal Damage to Property. Investigation is pending.

On June 26th on 1st Road just east of Arrowhead Road, Roy Hamel, Clifton driving a 2007 Chevrolet struck deer. Damage estimated at more than $1,000.00, no injuries were reported.

On June 27th an officer was dispatched to the 301 Memorial Drive, Hanover the Swimming Pool for the report of Criminal Damage to Property. Investigation is pending.

On June 28th the Linn & Palmer Fire Departments were dispatched to the 1700 block of 10th Road for the report of a straw fire.

On June 28th on Bismark Road just south of State line Road Glenda Veatch, Fairbury Nebraska driving a 2005 Dodge lost control of vehicle and struck a utility pole. Veatch was taken by POV to seek medical attention. Damage estimated at more than $1,000.00.

On June 28th on C Street just north of 3rd Street in Washington Lola Allerheiligen, Linn driving a 2005 Chevrolet was backing from parking stall and struck a 1998 Buick driven by Constance Snyder, Washington. Damage estimated at more than $1,000.00, no injuries were reported.
