The Blue Rapids Museum “Leaky Roof” committee has received the promise of a matching donation dollar for dollar up to $20,000 from Larry Parsons, BRHS Class of 1958 and Chairman and CEO of the Wheeling and Lake Erie Railway Company. Profit from Museum fund raising events will be matched to Mr. Parson’s generous offer. Donations, memorial money and bequests received from museum supporters toward the roofing and other major building repairs will double in value until the limit is reached.
The Blue Rapids Alumni Association and the State Bank have both made a substantial donation and visitors to the museum over Memorial Day added another $240. Family members of Pat and Phil Osborne also made a nice donation in honor of their anniversary.
