Former Sabetha Man Captured

A former Sabetha man was taken into custody  as a suspect in two vehicle thefts and other crimes that occurred in Sabetha.  Sabetha Police and Nemaha County Sheriff Deputies arrested 20-year-old Brandon Fanders, formerly of Sabetha, was arrested early Saturday morning at the Road Star Convenience Store Fanders is suspected in two motor vehicle thefts and an attempted motor vehicle theft in Sabetha, along with several other theft cases.  Sabetha Police Chief Robert Wahwasuck says Fanders was allegedly in possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal opiates at the time of his arrest.
Fanders is being held without bond in the Nemaha  County Jail for a probation violation.Formal charges for the vehicle thefts and other thefts are pending
