Kansas Farm Bureau Endorses Moran

The State’s largest agriculture advocacy organization, the Kansas Farm Bureau, late last week gave First District Kansas Congressman Jerry Moran it endorsement for his campaign for the U.S. Senate.

Ottawa County grain farmer and Kansas Farm Bureau President Steve Baccus said of Congressman Moran, “Kansas farmers and ranchers have no more vocal and effective champion than Jerry Moran.” Adding, “We look forward to helping to elect Jerry, and then working with him in the U.S. Senate on issues that impact the lives of family farmers and rural Kansas.”

The latest public poll has Moran enjoying a double-digit margin over Senate opponent 2nd District Kansas Congressman Todd Taihrt.

About Mike Schrant

Mike is one of those guys who has spent nearly a lifetime trying to figure out what he wants to do when he grows up. He has split time as a broadcaster and educator having first worked in radio in the early 1970’s while attending junior college. The two careers are directly connected because many of the 25 years as an educator were spent teaching broadcast journalism at the high school and college levels. Mike is married and has three adult children (no grandchildren yet) and enjoys sports, debating politics, gardening, landscaping-hauling rocks, and swapping stories with the "good old boys".
