Marysville Farmers Market Meeting Set

The Marysville Farmers Market will have a planning meeting for area vendors at 10:30 a.m. this Saturday at the Marysville City Building. Anyone interested in selling at the market this summer and fall is welcome. The meeting will explain state regulations the market will follow and will feature a guest speaker from Washington County Farm Bureau who will talk about the Buy Fresh North Central Kansas project.

The Marysville Farmers Market plans to open May 1 on Seventh Street in downtown Marysville.

Derek Nester was born and raised in Blue Rapids, and graduated from Valley Heights High School in May of 2000. He attended Cowley College in Arkansas City and Johnson County Community College in Overland Park studying Journalism & Media Communication. After stops at KFRM and KCLY radio in Clay Center, he joined KNDY in 2002 as a board operator and play by play announcer.
