Two injured in one vehicle accident

LOCATION:  ¾ mile west of SW. 61st Road on Maple Road 

TIME: Approximately 1900 hours               

OFFENSE: One vehicle injury accident

On Saturday, February 20, 2010 at approximately 1900 hours, Beatrice Fire and Rescue, Beatrice Volunteer Fire and Rescue, and Gage County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a one vehicle injury accident located ¾ of a mile west of SW. 61st Road on Maple Road.

70 year old Roger L Hatzenbuehler of rural Beatrice was traveling westbound on Maple Road when he lost control of his vehicle, exited the roadway to the right, and struck a tree. Hatzenbuehler and his wife, Ginger Hatzenbuehler, 57 of rural Beatrice, were subsequently trapped in the vehicle and needed extraction by rescue personnel.

Both Mr. and Mrs. Hatzenbuehler were then transported to Beatrice Community Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Alcohol was not a factor in the accident and seatbelts were in use
