Carnival Rides return to Washington County Fair.

Washington County Fair is planning to bring back carnival rides at this year’s fair.  Leslie Gauby, President of the Fair Board confirmed that a contract has been signed with Moore’s Greater Shows from Lyford, Texas.  In order to secure the carnival Washington County has changed the dates of their fair to July 13th thru 17th.  According to an earlier interview with Bill Keesecker, vice-president of the Fair Board, it was luck that will bring Moore’s Greater Shows to the Fair.  Shortly after beginning a search for a carnival, Moore’s Shows contacted the Washington County Extension Office to inquire about the fair.  The carnival had a break between festivals in Hays and Downs and was searching for an event to fill the break.  Moore’s Greater Shows agreed to a three year contract with the Washington County Fair, and will provide between 20 and 25 rides.
