Katey Pflanz and Heather Schwan, student-athletes at Tri County High School, have signed letters of intent to play volleyball for Southeast Community College beginning this fall.
Storm Head Coach Carrie Foster-Puhalla announced the signings.
Pflanz, a 5-foot-8 outside hitter, is the daughter of Kelly and Lisa Pflanz. Katie was named to the Honorable Mention All-Class C2 volleyball team as a senior.
“She is a great all-around player,” Foster-Puhalla said. “I am looking forward to Katie bringing her competitive edge and positive attitude to the court.”
Schwan, a 5-7 setter, is the daughter of Bill and Christy Schwan. She also was named to the Honorable Mention All-Class C2 volleyball team as a senior.
“She has a great court sense and will be looked upon to run the offense,” Foster-Puhalla said.
The duo was coached by Brett Scheiding at Tri County. The Trojans qualified for the state tournament and finished the season with a 24-7 record.
