Clay Center Woman Injured in Roll-over Accident

OFFENSE:  One vehicle rollover accident

On February 14, 2010, Beatrice Communications received a report of a one vehicle rollover accident on Highway 77 by Chestnut Road.  Teresa Yarrow, 46 of Clay Center, KS was traveling northbound in a 2000 Ford Ranger.  Yarrow lost control of the vehicle, entered the median, and the vehicle rolled coming to rest on its top on the west side of the southbound lanes of Highway 77.  Yarrow sustained minor injuries and her 9-month-old female passenger was uninjured.  Yarrow was wearing a seatbelt and the infant was in a car seat.  Speed and icy road conditions were the contributing factors in the accident.  Departments responding to the accident were Gage County Sheriff’s Office, Pickrell Fire Department, Cortland QRTs, Clatonia Fire and Rescue, and Beatrice Fire and Rescue.
