Overbeck Funeral Monday

The funeral for Washington County Sheriff Bill Overbeck will take place this coming Monday at 10:00-AM at St. John’s Catholic Church in Hanover. The 58-year old Overbeck died Tuesday at his home in Hanover of an illness.

Washington County Undersheriff Traci Hattesohl is serving as interim sheriff until a successor is appointed. It is expected that it will take at least a month before a new sheriff is named.

Washington County is a part of the 12th Judicial District which also includes Republic, Jewell, Cloud, Mitchell and Lincoln Counties.
