Celebrating 50 Years of Your Country on KNDY |
|
On July 10, 1956 an investment company named Marshall Transmitter, Inc.
signed radio station KNDY on the air, becoming the first radio station to
broadcast commercially in Marshall County, serving the Marysville area with
country music. This station focused on the community, delivering the latest
news, weather and sports information.
Dierking Communications New KNDY Studio 50 years later, the commitment of KNDY and KNDY-FM remains the same.
We serve the counties of Marshall, Washington, and Nemaha in Kansas, as well as
Gage County in Nebraska with Today's Hot New Country on KNDY-FM 95.5 and Classic
Hit Country on KNDY-AM 1570.
Both stations feature 3 full hours of local, state and national news each
weekday, beginning with the KNDY Morning News at 7:00 a.m.; KNDY Midday News at
12:00 p.m.; and the KNDY Evening News at 5:00 p.m. The station also features ABC
World News at the top of each hour, and your local weather forecast twice per
hour.
KNDY radio also features local sports as well as Kansas and Kansas State
University football and men's basketball. All Marysville High School football
and boys and girls basketball road games air live on KNDY, with area high school
sports included throughout the season. KNDY-FM 95.5 is also the only static-free
FM broadcast signal in Northern Kansas & Southeast Nebraska to feature the
Kansas Jayhawks. The Kansas State Wildcats are broadcast across the region on
KNDY-AM 1570.
KNDY is also ready to deliver the message of your business or organization to
Northeast Kansas and Southeast Nebraska. Contact one of our Account Executives
today for a quote. Discounts are also available for fundraisers and non-profit
organizations. |
